after a long long time i just managed to get released a new version of the CD-ROM webserver Server2Go.

The reason for the long development time was that I had a lot of other things to do that need my attention. The deadline of my symfony book and I hold some workshops for PHP and Symfony. But the book is done so I have more time for Server2Go in the near future, so i hopefully can release a new version more often.

But now what is new in the version 1.6.0:

* PHP Update to 5.2.6
* Improved Proxy override
* Update Apache to 2.2.6
* Update Apache to 2.0.61
* Allows encryption of database in source folder
* Support for portable firefox (see wiki for more information on how to do)
* The shutdown message is customisable

Hope you like it!

Hi Timo!

I've just updated my little Workshop on your nice webserver:

http://www.akademie.de/programmierung-administration/website-administration/tipps/server-co/server2go-als-windows-testwebserver.html

Hope, everything is okay. If not, just tell me!

Best regards and thank you for your good work!

Johann

Hallo,

you always happy that you realease time by time a new version of you server2go.

But in this new version 1.7.3 there is a huge bug. The parameter "datadir" in this config file "my.ini" is wrong. It always create a directory in a temp folder and then after every start a new auto incrementend folder name.

so if you rewrite it to

datadir=%CDPMS:SRVDIR%\MySQL\data

it works corrctly and mysql server finds the database also after a restart which was created before.

hi Habi,
I think your file type of distribute_apache1.3_micro.exe on Micro-Package download link is wrong.
The link error :The requested URL was not found.

But I tried to "http://www.server2go-web.de/download/files/distribute_apache1.3_micro.zip" it's work.
